- December 31, 2008 - REFERRAL!!!!
- October 18, 2008 - Received new I-171h in the mail. We are good through 5/21/2010
- October 8, 2008 - Refingerprinted with USCIS
- August 27, 2008 - Homestudy update visit with social worker to renew USCIS paperwork for the 2nd time.
- February 27, 2008 - Two Year LID Anniversary
- May 25, 2007 - Received new I-171 in the mail. I-171 expires on 11/21/08 and our fingerprints expire on 8/2/08.
- May 2, 2007 - Refingerprinted at USCIS office in Kansas City
- March 17, 2007 - Homestudy update visit with social worker. Our USCIS paperwork expires in July 2007.
- February 27, 2007 - One Year LID Anniversary
- February 1, 2007 - Found out we are through the Review Room!
- May 18, 2006 - Our Brown Envelope came today!
- May 2, 2006 - Day we found out about our LID
- February 27, 2006 - Log In Date (LID)
- February 4, 2006 (10:49 PM) - Our dossier hit Chinese soil!!!!!!!!!
- January 31, 2006 - We are DTC!!!!!!!!!!!
- January 18, 2006 - IFS sends dossier to Chinese Consulate in Chicago to be authenticated. This process takes 2 weeks.
- January 17, 2006 - Overnight medical forms back to IFS.
- January 12, 2006 - Back to the doctor for 2 more tests....Wait for results so we can send the form back to IFS...
- January 11, 2006 - IFS called and said we have to redo one form.....the medical form. Needs to be perfect!
- January 10, 2006 - Overnight Dossier to Texas office to have it authenticated to send to China!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- January 10, 2006 - To Secretary of State's office to have documents Certified
- January 9, 2006 - Final Documents Notarized
- January 7, 2006- I-171H arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- January 4, 2006 - Passports arrived!
- December 28, 2005 - Fingerprinting completed at the Kansas City Immigration Office!
- December 22, 2005 - Sent for passports - expedited
- December 21, 2005 - Received our notification for our fingerprinting appointment.
- December 10, 2005 - Received receipt from USCIS confirming arrival of our I-600A
- December 7, 2005 - Fed Ex'd US Immigration Office (USCIS) our I-600A (Application for Advanced Process of Orphan Petition)
- November 18, 2005 - Our China paperwork arrives from the international agency
- November 18, 2005 - Final visit with adoption agent to complete home study
- November 15, 2005 - Home visit for home study with adoption agent
- November 9, 2005 - Second home study meeting with adoption agent
- November 8, 2005 - International Agency (IFS) approved our application and mailed us our China Paperwork for our Dossier
- November 5, 2005 - FedEx'd International Agency our contract and application
- October 30, 2005 - First of Four home study meetings with adoption agent
- October 23, 2005 - Called local adoption agent and scheduled our first appointment
- October 21, 2005 - We decided to adopt! Although this decision appears to come quickly after finding out we could not have a biological child, this was something we had been discussing since our miscarriage in February. We had been trying to conceive for 2-1/2 years at that point and that was the first and only pregnancy, which resulted in a miscarriage. So this just seemed like the best option for us.
- October 14, 2005 - Consultation with the doctor about the laparoscopy revealed Tubal Disease
- October 12, 2005 - Sara's Laparoscopy for diagnostic infertility testing
- February 21, 2005 - Miscarriage (Tubal Pregnancy)- Our tiny angel flew to heaven
- January 2005- Found out we were pregnant - finally!
- October 10, 2004 - First appointment with Fertility Specialist after trying unsuccessfully for 2 years to get pregnant. (Several courses of infertility treatments take place in the next year. . .)
